I purchased these for the use of sending postcards through postcrossing.com, and also a postcard swap of the same name on Facebook. I love these. The front shows the various fairy tale drawings, and on the back, it states the artist who drew it, the name of the painting, and from what year and fairy tale/ book it is from.

The colors are very muted and dull, often to the point of finding it difficult to tell what the picture is about. I had previous bought the set of 12 fairy tale postcards by Dover, which is fantastic. Since this is about the same price, I thought I would get twice as many as those great postcards, but that was not the case.
